I’d like to think I am your standard computer geek, but geek is so pop-culture these days. I am a geek in the classic terms. You know, before it was cool? The guy who wrote pong on in his VIC-20. That sort of guy
Professionally I currently work for a major Foture 500 as a level 3 system engineer. Previously a senior engineer at a managed service provider and a CRM administrator at bank before that.
I am for the most part a generalist. VMware, storage, Windows, Linux, Apache, jboss, exchange, SQL server, Solaris you name it. I have probably done it one capacity or another. Lately it’s been mainly Cisco networking and Vmware for me.
Strangely enough I like doing process management and staff development as well. I have done formal teaching of CCENT and A+ certifications and in my spare time hang out at techexams.net giving feed back.
